It's been quite some time since I posted to the Blog. It is my desire to become more consistent with posting, as I've had several insights develop since returning to massage work, that I'd like to share. I moved from Portland 4 years ago and as a result of my brother becoming ill, I returned. He has improved and I decided to utilize my massage license and return to practice. I found a great office last September and launched into the new venture.
I found out how different it is when you are "beginning again", especially in a situation of being solo with no significant clientele. Previously, my practice was by client referrals but that does not occur as you first begin again. I've realized how different these times are relative to starting over to build a practice. Nothing like a perspective adjustment!
Simultaneously, I have been in the process of re-licensing and completing continuing education requirements. Attending classes, reminded me how much I enjoy being with other therapists and sharing about massage techniques, business ideas, etc.
Then, while awaiting clients when providing chair massage, another LMT approached me. We shared about our massage practices and I learned that her office was located very near my office. She was part of a group of independent therapist's sharing space at Massage Naturally. She was open and I am very grateful for her approaching me to share and let me know there was space available there. Some would say: "there are no accidents".
Since that meet-up, situations have occurred that provided me the opportunity to become one of the practitioners, sharing space at Massage Naturally. I moved this past weekend, contact phone number remains the same. I hope you will come experience the great atmosphere there, and provide me the opportunity of working with you. Evolving, ever evolving.....
